Alternatives Investment Manager - Global Equity Analyst (Industrials/Materials)

Our client is an alternatives investment manager with a global mandate, focusing on absolute return strategies. They are looking to hire an Equity Analyst for their thematic ESG Fund.

As an industry expert, you will conduct deep dive research and generate compelling global investment ideas for the Industrials and/or Material sectors. Working closely with the Portfolio Manager and members of the investment team, you will provide insights on industry trends and the impact this has on companies in these sectors. Regular engagement with company management, investor relation teams and sell-side analysts constitute a major part of your investment research. You will conduct primary, deep dive, bottoms up research, develop robust financial models, perform valuations, prepare detailed investment proposals, support portfolio tracking and portfolio review.

You have outstanding academic qualifications and 5-10 years of public equity investment experience. You have an established track record generating high-conviction investment ideas in Industrials and/or Materials sector, covering US or Europe Equities. Your excellent writing and communication skills will enable you to effectively articulate an investment thesis for a company or sector. Long Short experience is an advantage as is knowledge of ESG investing. You have a high level of technical competence and apply rigour in assessing investment ideas.
