Our ESG team is growing, and we are seeking ESG practitioners to manage strategy & engagement, reporting & disclosures, and communication & education.

This newly created ESG role can be based at any of our multinational FM Global Operations throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, EMEA or APAC physical region. Viable candidates will be required to work from one of the multinational locations on a hybrid basis.

This role reports directly to the Chief Sustainability Officer and provides subject matter expertise on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. In addition to supporting implementation of the global ESG strategy, it plays a key role in engaging with employees and external partner groups, benchmarking and assessing KPIs across the organization as well as supporting the ESG reporting and disclosure process.

Responsibilities include:

Project Management


  •  Help facilitate success and long-term vision of ESG at FM Global,

including the integration and embedding of ESG across business

units and functions

  •  Serve as project manager for key initiatives within the ESG strategy
  •  Help monitor global ESG market and regulatory landscape and ESG

ratings/rankings and conduct regular benchmarking to keep FM Globalin step with the evolving ESG landscape

Stakeholder engagement/ ESG expertise

Partner with internal units to support employee engagement and

education

  •  Share insights from relationships with external stakeholders that

affect any functions of the CSO org. (e.g., strategy, reporting,

disclosures etc.)

Reporting and Disclosures

Establish ESG Reporting & Disclosures Functions And Capabilities At

FM Global

  •  Coordinate across business units and functions to define and collect

required data for ESG reporting and monitoring

  •  Support annual ESG reporting and disclosures process (e.g., Task

Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Carbon

Disclosure Project (CDP), S&P Corporate Sustainability

Assessment)

  •  Develop firmwide sustainability reports, which includes interfacing

with senior leadership and business units to assess data

capabilities, improve reporting capabilities and procedures, and

collect and track sustainability data

  •  Monitor ongoing and rapidly changing dynamics in the sustainability

reporting space globally, with a specific focus on ESG reporting

frameworks (i.e., SASB/IFRS, GRI, TCFD, etc.) and emerging

regulatory ESG disclosure requirements

  •  Support sustainability reporting-related deliverables including but not

limited to external reporting to ESG/sustainability ratings/rankings,

surveys, and responding to requests for sustainability

reports/information

  •  Assist with development and quality assurance of communications,

publications, and presentations that include ESG data and reporting

  •  Serve as primary liaison between the company and key ESG ratings

and ranking firms e.g., Sustainalytics, MSCI

Communication and Education


  •  Coordinate with adjacent functions such as marketing and legal to

delivery internal and external communications on ESG strategy, marketing campaigns, digital content, monitor progress against goals, reporting etc.

  •  Partner with FM Global’s Academy to develop and deliver

enterprise wide ESG education curriculum that embeds ESG into

core business units

  •  Support internal and potentially external-facing ESG reports in

partnership with reporting functions

Qualifications

4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 5 years relatable experience as an ESG professional / practitioner

ESG Strategy and Project Management


  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with experience creating/presenting to senior

leaders

  • Proactive-problem-solving mindset with ability to clearly identify and implement solutions
  • Ability to think strategically, exercise independent judgement, take initiative, prioritize,

accurately complete multiple tasks, and to work under deadlines and changing priorities to drive results

Stakeholder engagement/ ESG expertise


  • Outstanding intrapersonal and stakeholder communication skills
  • Broad ESG knowledge and the ability to engage with leaders across many different industries on related ESG topics

Reporting and Disclosures


  • Strong analytical skills
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks e.g., Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) guidelines, Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

recommendations, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)

  • Familiarity with the evolving global ESG regulatory landscape
  • Experience managing and tracking Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) and science-based targets preferred

Communication and Education


  • Experience working in teams and cross-functionally
  • Education/teaching/curriculum writing experience is a plus

Domestic relocation support may be considered for this role.

The hiring range for this position dependent on final grade and title is $126,800 to $182,300 USD. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
