Job Description
Key Responsibilities/ Duties:
US Municipals Qualitative Research (80%):
- Research for the predefined ESG Characteristics/factors of the US Municipal Issuers
- Incorporate the feedback provided by Fund managers/Research analysts into the qualitative analysis
- Convert the research output into Muni ESG Ratings for the Municipal Issuers
- Enhance the Muni ESG Ratings Methodology as per requirements
- Provide recommendations to the betterment and automation of the research process
- Conduct portfolio level ESG analysis and research to assist various internal stakeholders (Investment teams etc.) and provide effective consultation on the ESG risks and factors impacting the portfolio
- Research issuers for any unsustainable business practices
- Build/Assist Technology in building ESG Analytics on various Internal and external platforms
- Create content/materials (presentations, reports etc.) to support the Investment teams with ESG Reviews and CIO Challenges
- Assist Investment teams in creating/reposition ESG product strategies in collaboration with product and ESG client strategy team by providing ESG data and analytical expertise to help them get market ready
- Provide recommendations on the evolving market and client needs for ESG funds reporting
- Evaluate external ESG data vendors (new or existing) in collaboration with MDS group to ensure that Invesco has access to the required ESG data sets to meet the global demand
- Provide strategic recommendations and roadmap on various ESG projects/ initiatives related to data and analytical capabilities
- Effectively manage various ESG projects/ initiatives as a business owner in collaboration with other functional teams such as Technology, Legal, Risks, Compliance, and Investments
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- 3+ years in financial services or other relevant industry
- Experience in ESG domain and knowledge of various ESG data providers/sources like MSCI, Sustainalytics, etc.
- Phyton and Power BI experience will be an added advantage
- Flair for researching the issuers independently
- It is essential that the analyst has a very good understanding of business, various asset class & Institutional Clients types
- Knowledge of investment business, buy-side processes and investment products would be added advantage
- Aptitude for rapid adaptation to new systems/software
- Skills in Phyton, BI Tools, Microsoft Office, MS Access, experience and ability to create content & generate reports and cohesive documentation.
- Strategic & a thought leader to create business value
- Responsible & Accountable for the work allocated end to end, self-managed & proactive. Take complete ownership and follow through with tasks until completion.

- Process Documentation- Draft, Document, Maintain, review all documents in detail for smooth performance of activity.

- Must also demonstrate flexibility, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn while ensuring that all deadlines are met
- Must be able to develop and maintain relationships with management, clients and co-workers and work to fully meet and exceed their needs

- Normally works on a business required schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
- Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include any 8 hours in a 24-hour day as the schedule.
