The regulatory landscape involving Environmental, Social and Governance, or ESG, is rapidly evolving across numerous jurisdictions that State Street has a presence. The Data Strategy and Operations Team, or DOST, within Corporate Finance is building out a team that will play a critical role in defining and executing on the global data strategy for the ESG, with a particular focus on Climate and Environmental areas. DOST is looking for individuals with a techno-functional background to support various ESG related commitments and regulatory obligations. It is an exciting role responsible for building global capabilities for production and oversight of ESG disclosures, analytics and reporting.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What You Will Be Responsible For
As Business Analyst, AVP you will:
- Formulate and execute on the data strategy for global ESG reporting and disclosures (in partnership with technology, create the structure for a single source of ESG-related data);
- Oversee and manage a team that is responsible for translating regulatory requirements into business and data solutions
- Own and manage all workstreams of the data program to ensure all key regulatory requirements are sufficiently met; liaise with colleagues across the company (cross functional and jurisdictional)
- Communicate progress and challenges of the data program to the internal governance bodies
- Serve as the primary contact to manage acquisition of external climate data from vendors
- Design and build ESG data management and analysis function
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; with work experience in ESG, reporting, or financial services
- 10 – 15 years of progressive professional experience
- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks, including SASB, GRI, TCFD, and eagerness to learn and leverage best industry practices for corporate reporting
- Strong project management and execution skills
- Strong in data and business analysis is a must
- Ability to navigate complex organizations to achieve business objectives and work across various business units
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with a variety of audiences, including senior management
- Ability to manage data and ensure organizational compliance with high standards of data governance
- Proficiency with SQL and Python is preferrable
- Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools such as Spotfire, Tableau and Power BI is preferrable

Salary Range
$110,000 - $185,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
