Investment Analyst/Associate in Renewables (m/f/d)

ONSITE FULL_TIME INTERN

Key responsibilities

  • Execute direct equity investments in greenfield, repowering and late-stage development assets across renewable and energy transition technologies in targeted CEE jurisdictions
  • Assist or engage in project sourcing activities in CEE market
  • Form part of the due diligence team, as well as the RFP process for due diligence partner selection and mandating process thereof
  • Perform valuation and transaction valuation models
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts for projects in the CEE region including SPA, O&M, TCMA, MSA, TSA, EPC
  • Assist in the examination of the feasibility of and evaluate the economic viability of repowering possibilities
  • Take a role in the development of the portfolio allocation with senior members of the team
  • Prepare, present, and defend investment memoranda for the Investment Committee
  • Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders in the investment process
  • Market research and maintenance of internal country, project and transaction data bases and tracking tools
  • Preparation of pitchbooks and other presentation materials for external and internal use
  • Interface with internal stakeholders including: asset management, ongoing valuation and depository topics

What we expect

  • Strong affinity and interest in renewables, ideally with relevance to the CEE region
  • Relevant experience in early and greenfield stage renewable energy projects preferably with a leading investment firm, industry strategic developer or IPP or bank (buy-side)
  • Successful and proven track record in direct alternative investments
  • Experience and strong interest to work in private equity
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to achieve results
  • Strong negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Master in business, finance, or investment related area
  • Business English, additional CEE language is preferred
