JUNIOR HIGH YIELD RESEARCH ANALYST AT GLOBAL ASSET MGMNT FIRM
Base Salary is $160K to $180K (based upon candidate & experience)

Global Asset Management Firm is looking for an experienced analyst/research professional to join its US Fixed Income Research Team as a Junior High Yield Research Analyst. In this role, you will assist Lead Energy/Chemicals Analyst(s) with fundamental credit work including modelling, industry monitoring, ESG research, maintaining relative value comparable sheets. There is potential for senior analyst coverage over time given strong performance.
Currently the role is hybrid with the flexibility to be in the office five (5) days per week if needed based upon client and/or department needs.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering or related subjects
- Minimum of Three (3) years of High Yield Credit Research experience required
- Broad experience within the full spectrum of high yield and modelling background
- Understanding of financial statements, capital structure, cash flow analysis, capital markets and portfolio management
- Independent thinker with the ability to hold contrarian views
- Able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Proficient in standard software packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Capital IQ and Bloomberg
- Personable, collegial, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA or CPA
- ESG credentials
- Three (3) years or more buy side/sell side credit research experience
- Technical/Programming skills
- Experience working in an asset manager
- Aladdin experience
- Sell side, buy side and issuer relationships
Responsibilities
- Perform fundamental analysis including modelling.
- Monitor performance and holdings relative to investment objectives, benchmarks, and outlook
- Produce both written and oral fundamental analysis in partnership with covering analyst
- Collaborate with other debt and equity analysts and portfolio managers in partnership with covering analyst
- Frequently interact with portfolio managers and traders
- Participates in industry outlooks and Thematic research sessions while utilizing the Data Insights Unit and the Environmental, Social and Governance resources
