Portfolio Analyst - Responsive Investing

About The Role / Position Summary

The Portfolio Analyst - Responsive Investing (âR.I.â), is accountable for analysis, oversight, and management of FEGâs OCIO R.I. portfolios in partnership with FEGâs Portfolio Management, Research, and Advisor teams.
Position Responsibilities
Portfolio Management

  • Oversee R.I. portfolios across Catholic Values (CV), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and Diverse Managers (DM) solutions.
  • Monitor and report on performance and attribution through FactSet and internal systems.
  • Send weekly and monthly performance reports to the R.I. Team
  • Create and share monthly analytics on R.I. portfolio solutions.
  • Prepare quarterly performance presentations and content for client communication pieces.
  • Facilitate and build content and communicate trades with internal teams (e.g., work with Operations to facilitate trades and work with Marketing to publish trade announcements and spotlight pieces for trades)

Consulting

  • Manage and support ad-hoc requests from Advisors.
  • Educate clients on R.I. through enhancements to existing educational material as well as the preparation of new content.
  • Guide Advisors/clients on portfolio construction in relation to R.I. investing
  • Create and review analytics of R.I. growth semi-annually (e.g., current clients adding R.I., new R.I. client wins, R.I. client terminations, industry trends, etc.)

Research

  • Conduct ongoing due diligence on FEG recommended and under-consideration managers/strategies (e.g., quarterly calls, write ups, memos as needed)
  • Refresh the holistic ESG, faith-based, and DEI internal market maps.
  • Work alongside Research to underwrite new R.I. recommendations and utilize analytical tools (e.g., MSCI, YourStake, etc.) to ascertain key strategy attributes and fit within portfolios.
  • Keep manager diversity data up to date in a spreadsheet database (i.e., account for new recommendations and terminations)
  • Facilitate sending out the DEI questionnaire annually to all managers through Diligend.
  • Diverse Manager Committee participant â facilitate new recommendations with Research.
  • Meet with Private Equity lead monthly to discuss diverse PE managers.

Other

  • R.I. Reporting/systems project with Technology and Portfolio Construction Education/Guidelines.

What We Expect / Qualifications

  • Bachelorâs degree in finance or a related field.
  • 1-3 yearsâ work experience in research, portfolio management, and/or investment manager due diligence.
  • Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, FactSet, and SharePoint with strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and exhibit strong work ethic.
  • Exemplary knowledge of the responsive investing landscape.
