Research Associate - Asset Management
Location: Singapore (hybrid working model)
Salary: S$5000 per month
Our client, a global asset management firm specialising in ESG, have a fantastic opportunity for a numerically minded individual to join their team as a Research Associate.
This role would suit someone with an accountancy background, a strong interest in desk research and is a position where you will play a key role in forming meaningful research insights in order to foster purposeful growth investing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or assist in thematic or sectoral research projects to elevate the team's knowledge, emphasizing Purposeful Growth Investing.
- Undertake due diligence on potential institutional clients and ensure proper documentation.
- Enhance ESG/Impact research in coordination with due diligence processes and company monitoring.
- Develop financial and valuation models for current holdings and potential candidates.
- Engage actively in internal research discussions.
- Provide recommendations and implement strategies to refine the research excellence framework.
- Oversee risk management within the scope of your duties – including business continuity, data security, MAR, GDPR, etc.
- Contribute to the learning and professional growth of team members.
Skills & Experience Required
- 2+ years experience within a numerical or accountancy based role
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis of financial statements desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in Mandarin and good communication in English desirable
- Independent, critical thinking with a balanced, long-term perspective.
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate with a team.
- Strong sense of ownership and reliability.
