We are seeking an experienced investment professional to step into Investment Manager role for 6-9 months and manage the credit, fixed income and cash and alternatives asset classes of the investment program.
This is a parental leave contract therefore you will work closely with Deputy CIO to maintain the strategy including implementation, manager research and selection and managing a small team of analysts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Management and implementation of the Fixed Interest, Credit, Alternatives and Cash asset classes of the investment program
- Responsibility for due diligence, investment selection and monitoring and review of existing investments in the asset classes
- Conduct of investment research and the development of frameworks or processes to support research and investment decision making
- Manage implementation and execution in the relevant asset classes contribution to decision making across the investment program
- Work with asset consultants and other providers to effectively manage the provision of advice, ensure quality and leverage input
- Strong leadership and management of direct reports
Given the seniority of the role, candidates should have deep investment experience and meet the following:
- Experience working in at least some of Fixed Interest, Credit and Alternatives asset classes in an Investment Management function at either a Fund
- Manager, Super Fund, Asset Consultant or similar
- Proven experience in manager selection and monitoring
- Experience successfully leading and mentoring other team members
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
