SkyWater is partnering with a growing renewable energy company in Minnetonka, MN as they look to expand their Accounting department. We are looking for a Staff Accountant who will support the Controller in a variety of accounting and finance related tasks. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of accounting experience and be a self-starter who has the desire to learn and grow. It would a plus if you’re excited about renewable energy!!
Responsibilities

- Facilitate and complete monthly/quarterly/annual financial close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain General Ledger, Inventory and Fixed Assets
- Responsible for AR and AP, including creating customer invoices and paying vendors
- Perform bank reconciliation and cash management
- Assist in financial and tax audits
- Assist in internal management reporting and analysis
- Support other departments in researching and resolving financial issues
- Help to develop and document accounting policies and procedures
- Assist in quarterly budgeting process
- Support ESG tracking and reporting
Desired Skills And Experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (bachelor’s preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
- Strongly skilled in Microsoft Excel
- NetSuite experience preferred but not required
- Intellectual curiosity that drives a desire to learn and grow within the company and industry
- Self-motivated, demonstrating ownership and delivering results in a professional and timely manner
- Strong attention to detail and self-review
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines
