Sustainability &amp; ESG Analyst

The role:

We have a brilliant opportunity for someone to join us as a Sustainability and ESG Analyst.

The successful candidate will develop, collect, analyse and report the firm's Environment data. You will support and develop the firm's various ESG programs to achieve its sustainability and ESG goals, complying with regulatory and client requirements. The main focus of the role is on the ‘E’ of ESG.

You will be part of a Facilities team responsible for helping the firm achieve its 2030 near term science based targets and transition to carbon net zero and will work across the business with all the firm’s ESG stakeholders.

We will consider candidates to be based in either our London or Bristol offices.

What will you do:

  • Support the Environment and Health & Safety Manager in developing the firms Environmental Policy, sustainability strategy and programs. Keeping up to date with leading edge market practices and making progress toward the firm’s 2030 near term science based targets and carbon net zero.
  • Contribute to maintaining and auditing the UK offices ISO14001 Environment Management System.
  • Collect and manage environment and sustainability data from various internal and external sources for reporting purposes.
  • Undertake the firms annual measurement of its carbon footprint, Scope 1, 2 & 3, working with the firm’s global network of offices and external advisors.
  • Prepare environment and sustainability reports for executive management, stakeholders, and to meet regulatory requirements such as SECR and CFD.
  • Reply to client environment and sustainability information requests, audits and pitches
  • Work with different departments to integrate environment and sustainability considerations into business operations and decision-making processes such as procurement.
  • Help develop and execute a supplier engagement plan to help achieve the firm’s sustainability and ESG goals, working with internal stakeholder and external advisors
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environment, sustainability and ESG initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay informed about relevant environment, sustainability and ESG regulations and ensure the organisation's compliance.
  • Work with the Head of Purpose to co-ordinate Environment and sustainability outputs with the firms wider ESG strategy and potential BCORP requirements and wider reporting requirements,
  • Work with the firm’s responsible business stakeholders including nominated partners and the firm’s international green room environment network to embed environment and sustainability best practice and action within the firms DNA.


What we are looking for:

  • Graduate in a related Environment/Sustainability/ESG discipline.
  • Understanding of carbon emissions measurement and their various scopes.
  • Familiar with science based targets and carbon net zero.
  • Understanding of how Generative AI can be applied to Environment, sustainability and ESG data.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and persuade at all levels, confidently and in an articulate manner, verbally and orally.
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and standards such as ISO14001, CFD, ESOS, SECR.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting and use of appropriate software tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and with external partners.
  • Commitment to staying abreast of the evolving sustainability and ESG landscape.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry sector challenges and opportunities in sustainability and ESG.
