Position Summary
The Sustainability Analyst will play a prominent role in the development and execution of Crow Holdings’ Sustainability strategy. The Sustainability Analyst will support CH’s Director of Sustainability and be responsible for the Sustainability data analysis, monitoring, and reporting functions of CH. The Analyst will work cross-functionally with the asset management and investment teams to provide support for strategic decisions around Sustainability for acquisitions, development, and ongoing Sustainability performance for assets under management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Play a key role in evolving the company’s strategy for collection and management of Sustainability data, including collaborating on the implementation of global Sustainability information systems and automation processes across all functional and geographic areas of the organization
- Provide environmental performance data analysis (energy, water, greenhouse gas emissions, waste, physical climate risk, etc.)
- Prepare submissions and data analyses related to leading Sustainability ratings/rankings to ensure data accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to GRESB, UNPRI, and CDP
- Develop Sustainability content for internal and external communications, including for the company’s annual Sustainability report, 10-K/Proxy Statement in alignment with leading Sustainability reporting frameworks and disclosure regulations, as well as content for intranet, external website, investor presentations, Q&A documents and event briefing documents
- Partner with the Sustainability Taskforce members and colleagues in communications/marketing to translate complex, vague and sometimes incomplete data into accurate and effective charts and graphs and PowerPoint presentations
- Research and develop reports on Sustainability trends impacting the company, customers and other Sustainability stakeholders, and complete benchmarking projects with recommendations on opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support the Director of Sustainability in executing the Sustainability strategy and program and tracking of progress against the company’s public Sustainability goals and metrics
- Assist with development of Sustainability initiatives, projects, and strategies based on financial modeling to improve Sustainability Performance
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Business Management, Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or Sustainability preferred
- 3+ years of quantitative and qualitative analytical experience
- Experience working in Sustainability and sustainability, including knowledge of Sustainability frameworks and ratings such as GRESB, GRI, UNPRI, and CDP preferred
- Ability to compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, instruct and communicate.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work both independently and with a team
- Eagerness to accept new challenges and bring new ideas to the table
- Critical thinker nimble with financial analysis and numerical data with a focus on concrete and quantitative back-up for positions taken
- Ability to work across cross-functional teams, high level of comfort within a matrixed environment. Ability to embrace change and adapt to evolving business needs and remain calm under pressure
- Builds effective relationships, inspires and builds trust among team and internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros), Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience with Sustainability/financial reporting software systems, Tableau, Power BI, and data visualization a plus
- Experience working in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, Goby, Vena, and/or Moody’s Sustainability Solutions platforms
- Passion for sustainability and green buildings
- This role will be based at our Old Parkland headquarters in Dallas, Texas
