Trainee Portfolio Manager - Sustainable Investment Team Role Overview: Bruin have partnered with a leading wealth manager, seeking a Trainee Portfolio Manager within the Sustainable Investment Team. You will play a crucial role in managing and delivering sustainable investment solutions for the UK and international Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) market. The role involves actively contributing to the construction and maintenance of Sustainable Model Portfolios, aligning them with the firm's investment views and sustainable investing philosophy. Portfolio Management: Contribute to the construction of sustainable model portfolios and customised IFA investment strategies. Apply top-down and bottom-up sustainable investment insights to multi-asset class portfolios. Contribute to idea generation, vehicle selection, risk, and performance analysis. Collaborate with the fund research team to develop Sustainable Model Portfolios. Monitor markets to understand drivers and sentiment at the asset class and sub-asset class level. Assist in the evaluation of different asset classes and select securities for inclusion in portfolios. Evaluate the impact of strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions. Ensure sustainable portfolios reflect the house view. Sustainable Investment Management: Participate in quarterly reviews of third-party sustainable holdings to ensure adherence to sustainable mandates. Develop internal ESG/sustainable rating tool, incorporating new data providers. Collaborate with Sustainable Investing Specialist to implement and evolve our clients’ approach to stewardship. Qualifications and Experience : Relevant academic qualifications in finance, economics, or a related field. Understanding of sustainable investing principles and practices. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. Progress towards relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
